For the Carol Concert on December Ivth most of the almost traditional Cotton carols were sung. Two new additions were " How Far is it to Bethlehem ? " a delightful little carol sung by the Sopranos, and an old sacred lullaby by Corner, very well sung by Gasparelli.

Once again the Choir has surmounted its greatest hurdle the difficult task of the Holy Week ceremonies. During this period of heavy work, it is always one's fear that the Choir will not be able to stay the course. But great praise must be given to them for the very hard work which they performed with cheerfulness, and one could feel in the way they sang that they realised that it had been well worth while. The Responses at Tene-brae on Maundy Thursday by Palestrina and Vittoria were beautifully sung. Once Again the Alleluja by von Bercher was sung with great gusto on Easter Sunday.
