It is announced that Mr. James Morgan, C.M.G. (O.C. 1892-97) will soon be retiring from the Diplomatic Corps in accordance with the Laws of the Medes and Persians respecting the age of British diplomats. Many Cottonians will support the views of the Ankara Correspondent of the Sunday Times who wrote on March 16th :-" There is some disappointment in Turkish political circles at the announcement that as a result of British diplomatic reorganisation in the Middle East, two of the most important members of the British Embassy Staff are leaving Ankara shortly. Mr. James Morgan, Minister, has been thirty years in Turkey and speaks Turkish well. During his stay here he has earned widespread respect, and although he will be placed on the retired list in May, he may well have been left to continue his service in Ankara. Circles close to the Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs deeply regret his coming departure."
Congratulations to Mr. John Lenton (O.C. 1910-12) who has recently been made a justice of the Peace for the County of Warwick.
.The Rev. Douglas Key (O.C. 1930-35) was ordained by Bishop McNulty some weeks ago, and the Rev. John McLean (O.C. 1930-36) and the Rev. Joseph Finneran (O.C. 1930-36) were also ordained for the Nottingham Diocese on Low Sunday. Ad Multos Annos.
